Contracts and Intellectual Property An RCB Eagles Event
Many companies completely miss opportunities to patent critical technologies and business processes. Even companies that don't normally see themselves as 'technology' or 'development' companies can protect key business processes using patent law.
In this lunch panel discussion you will learn to organize your company to identify and describe intellectual property assets. We will also teach you how to reduce the time it takes to complete technology contracts with your customers and avoid protracted negotiations with an outside corporate attorney.
Expert speakers:
- Pat Hatfield is a partner in the Corporate Department in the Atlanta office of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell, LLP and co-chairs the firm's Technology Transactions Group. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Hatfield has focused on financial services, intellectual property and technology.
- Perry Binder is a legal studies professor at GSU's Robinson College of Business. Professor Binder is a former civil litigator, with a specialty in analyzing domain name disputes, employee blogging issues, and reputation risk matters.
Lunch will be catered by Wolfgang Puck Express and attendees will have ample time to network with executives from other ''high growth'' companies.
This event is only open to: Executives of companies recognized as RCB Eagles and Sponsors, Georgia Tech Advanced Technology Development Center companies and invited guests.
